  • Dr. Kabir Virdi

    Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeon

    Dr. Virdi was born and raised in Saskatoon. He completed his undergraduate dental training at the University of Saskatchewan in 2003. After graduation, he served three years as a general dentist with the rank of captain at National Defense Headquarters in Ottawa, Canada. In 2006, Dr. Virdi retired from the military to pursue specialty training in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at Loyola University Medical Center in Chicago, IL where he graduated in 2010. Dr. Virdi currently works at Saskatoon Oral Surgery and is the course director of undergraduate oral and maxillofacial surgery, local anesthesia and pain control at the University of Saskatchewan College of Dentistry. Dr. Virdi serves as the Prairie Representative of the Canadian Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons and is a board member for the Saskatoon City Hospital Foundation and a council member for the College of Dental Surgeons of Saskatchewan. Dr. Virdi enjoys practising a broad scope oral and maxillofacial surgery. His main interests are implant dentistry, orthognathic surgery, pathology and reconstructive temporomandibular joint (TMJ) surgery. Current interests also include the expanding use of computer-assisted surgical design and CT-guided surgery. Kabir lives in Saskatoon with his wife, daughter and son. When not at work he loves spending time with his family and friends. Kabir enjoys travelling, watching movies and reading.

  • Dr. Craig Humber

    Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeon

    Dr. Craig Humber was born and raised in central Ontario. He initially attended the University of Guelph where he graduated with a B.Sc. and M.Sc. in chemistry. He then attended the University of Saskatchewan where he graduated with his D.M.D in 2004. He completed a general practice residency (GPR) at the University of British Columbia in 2005. He subsequently graduated from the University of Toronto with an M.Sc. and a specialty certification in Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery in 2009. Dr. Humber entered full-time private practice at Saskatoon Oral Surgery in 2009. Although he enjoys practicing all aspects of oral surgery, Dr. Humber’s main surgical interests are in implant dentistry, orthognathic surgery and secondary cleft palate surgery. Dr. Humber is proudly part of the Cleft Lip and Palate Team for central and northern Saskatchewan. Craig, his wife Heather, and their three boys are involved in many youth sporting activities in Saskatoon. In conjunction with a busy family life, Craig enjoys an annual ski trip with his family, relaxing at their cottage in Ontario and, of course, spending time with his two boxer dogs, Frankie and Stanley.

  • Dr. Myles MacLennan

    Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeon

    Dr. MacLennan was born and raised in Regina, Saskatchewan. Dr. MacLennan attended the U of S College of Dentistry, graduating in 1991. From there he went on to receive his general practice residency program (GPR) certification at the University of Alberta in 1992. Following this he completed his specialty training in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery in 1996 at Sinai Hospital in Detroit Michigan, affiliated with the University of Detroit and the University of Michigan. Dr. MacLennan was appointed to a half-time position as a professor of oral and maxillofacial surgery at the University of Saskatchewan and for 16 years taught dental students in addition to being in private practice. He retired from the school in 2011. Dr. MacLennan still enjoys teaching and assisting students at the College clinics part-time. His full-time practice concentrates on dentoalveolar surgery, implant surgery, pathology, and orthognathic surgery. Dr. MacLennan lives in Saskatoon with his lovely kids, and is very busy with many activities. Dr. MacLennan also enjoys running, fishing and recreational hockey, including the yearly dental student-professor hockey challenge!

  • Dr. Abe Khaleghi

    Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeon

    Dr. Abe Khaleghi was raised in Calgary, Alberta. He completed his bachelors in Biochemistry with Honours at University of British Columbia in 2014. Subsequently, he attended the University of Saskatchewan where he completed his D.M.D and received the Faculty of Dentistry Gold Medal Award in 2018. He then moved to NY and completed a one-year Internship in Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery in 2018-19. Dr Khaleghi completed Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery Residency at Indiana University and affiliated hospitals in U.S. from 2019- 2023. Dr Khaleghi and his family returned to Saskatchewan in July of 2023; he has joined SOS and has been a part time faculty at U of S College of Dentistry. Dr K. enjoys all aspects of Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery with particular interests in orthognathic (jaw corrective) surgery, facial trauma reconstruction and implant dentistry. Outside work, his favorite hobbies are playing soccer, hiking, gym and spending time with his wife and two girls.

  • Dr. Brett Spenrath

    Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeon

    Dr. Spenrath was born and raised in Lloydminster. He completed a DMD in 2017 at the University of Saskatchewan. He completed internship and residency in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at Strong Memorial Hospital in Rochester, NY. He then moved to Oklahoma City to complete a fellowship in complex Pediatric Cleft and Craniofacial surgery. He is thrilled to have the opportunity to return home to serve the children and families of Saskatchewan. Dr. Spenrath’s main interests are cleft lip and cleft palate surgery, craniofacial surgery, pediatric and adult facial trauma, and reconstructive surgery. He is a member of the Northern Saskatchewan Cleft Lip and Palate Team in Saskatoon. Outside of work, Brett enjoys hiking, camping, fishing and spending time with his wife Hollee and son Isaac. They are proud to make Saskatchewan their home.
