Les Ocularistes Marie-France Clermont is a company that manufactures and repairs ocular prostheses. With one clinic in Montreal and another in Ottawa, we offer a wide range of custom-made prostheses, shells and scleral lenses. Today's ocular prostheses are made of acrylic plastic, and are hand-painted, custom-made and impression fitted to each individual client. This technique provides an adequate fit while ensuring that the prostheses are as close as possible to the natural eye, therapeutically and aesthetically. Generally speaking, clients wear their artificial eye 24 hours a day. However a yearly check-up with the ocularist is recommended.
