Circumcision
Circumcision is a procedure for removing part of the skin of the human penis. It is usually performed as a healthcare, religious or cultural measure. There are different approaches for circumcision. In our clinic we perform a surgical approach under local anesthesia.
This procedure is not OHIP covered, and the cost is between $350-500.
Botox Injection
We use Botulinum toxin A (Botox) for cosmetic reason to reduce the facial wrinkles especially in the uppermost third of the face. The result is usually visible 3-5 days after the injection and it lasts 3-6 months. The cost depends on the severity of the wrinkles and the amount of the Botox that we use, usually between $300-$700.
Excision of premalignant and malignant skin lesions
There are several skin lesions that are either malignant or premalignant, based on their look or pathology reports. If they are small, we can remove them in the office under local anesthesia.
The cost is usually covered by OHIP or other Insurance.
Excision of nevus and moles
Removal of some skin conditions such as nevus or moles are considered cosmetic procedures and are not covered by OHIP. The cost depends on the size and location of the lesion.
Lipoma excision
Lipoma is localization of fat tissue under the skin or inside of a muscle. Sometimes they cause functional, or cosmetic concerns or there is concern regarding transformation to malignancy. In this case we can remove them. If they are small and not very deep in the tissue, it is an office-based procedure under local anesthesia. If there is no cosmetic reason for removal the cost will be covered by OHIP or other Insurance.
Ear irrigation and suctioning
Wax or cerumen is a normal excretion of the ear canal. The ear canal does not need cleaning or wax removal, unless the wax in the ear canal causes some symptoms or discomfort, or we need to clean the ear canal for examination of the eardrum. We do wax removal, if it is needed, by ear canal irrigation or suctioning.
Excision of skin tags
Their removal is almost entirely cosmetic procedures and not covered by OHIP.
The cost depends on the size, location and numbers of the skin tags.
Cryotherapy
Cryotherapy is a treatment modality for several skin and mucosal conditions. With the help of some specialized guns and devices, we spray liquid nitrogen on the skin lesions and destroy them. Sometimes we need several sessions of treatment for some skin lesions.
Treatment of warts, other than plantar or genital warts, are not covered by OHIP.

Skin and intra-oral biopsy
There are many skin and mucosal lesions that they are suspicious, precancerous or cancer.
To make a exact diagnosis and appropriate treatment, we need to first have a tissue diagnosis.
We can excise a piece of the lesion or the whole lesion, based on the size and location of the lesion, and send it for pathology or tissue diagnosis. In our clinic we do this using punch biopsy, incisional or excisional biopsy.
After the exact diagnosis, we deicide regarding the best treatment approach for the lesion.
Intra Articular injection
Osteoarthritis may happen in almost every joint in the body. It To reduce the pain, we can inject steroid or hyaluronic acid (Durolane) in the joint. We use pain free and aseptic approach for injection in different joints.
Toenail removal
Ingrown toenail is a condition that causes pain, discomfort, and infection for some people. It happens when part of the toenail, mainly the big toenail, grows inside the soft tissue around the toe. If it causes recurrent infections and interferes with normal daily life, the treatment is removal
of the ingrown part of the nail, and sometimes destruction of the root of the nail to prevent it from growing back to the adjacent soft tissue.
