first time and last time

My fiancé and I went to Mr. Mikes in Ardrie Alberta on June 3rd 2013 at around 7pm. This was the first time for both of us. The hostesses were very nice but the server made us feel that we had disrupted her night. We had sat in the dining room were there was no music on and the booth was very close to another table. We had to bend over the table so we could talk and not disturb the table beside us. The kitchen made up for the no music by someone howling every 2 seconds. When we had ordered our appetizer and entrée I had noticed there was a m circled and asked the server what that had meant and she said in a unimpressed way that this means what is popular I had then informed her that this was our first night here. She did not look impressed. I had ordered the shrimp and shrooms to start the description sounded very good shrimp in mushrooms with cream cheese. When it came I didn’t see any shrimp and it tasted different. I notice the manager and asked her to come over and asked her about this. She had said that it is shrimp with crap meat minced up. I mention to her that this is not what I had read and she said “everyone reads this wrong” and leaves. The entrees then came I had no fork as the server had taken it away when she took the appetizer. We looked for a server but there was no one in site. We could hear them laughing in the back and still someone was howling. I went to the front to find some cutlery. I had ordered the chicken with shrimp and scallops with tomato Cajun butter and rice and vegetables. The vegetables (baby carrots and green beans) had no taste and you could tell they had been sitting in water for a very long time. I had placed the vegetables on my napkin. The server came over and asked how the meal was and did not notice the vegetables on my napkin. The chicken was dry and very tiny considering the price. My fiancé had tried all of the items on my plate and had to take a drink of his pop when he tried the rice. We never saw the server again. We were still hearing someone in the kitchen howling. When we were done as we still never saw anyone we went to the front and asked for our bill from the hosts they went searching for the server. When they found her I had let her now that I was paying cash. Gave her $70.00 for our bill which was $59.00 and change. She then asked me if I wanted change back. I had left hungry and had to leave to go some where else to eat. I had decided not to speak with the Manager as I had one in counter with her and did not feel satisfied with how she dealt with it. We had gone to our friends after this and they had told us they went there once and had a similar experience. I had noticed that it was not very busy and can see why.
