Elham is a Registered Psychotherapist (Qualifying) and is a member in good standing with the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario (CRPO). Over the past 25 years, Elham has lived in five countries, and as a volunteer, she helped many refugees adjust to their new countries. She has experience working with adults with mental health challenges, including life transition issues, adjustment disorders, cultural assimilation, PTSD, stress management, anxiety, depression, mood disorders, grief, interpersonal relationship issues, low self-esteem and trauma. In her practice, she combines a variety of evidence-based therapeutic modalities, including Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Emotionally Focused Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy. Elham offers a trauma-informed, strength-based and culturally competent approach that is adaptable to clients' personalities and needs.
